With eclectic retail showrooms and a beautifully curated product range featuring modern and vintage-inspired pieces, City Home has the potential to appeal to a broad customer base. Through management of social media, online reputation and brand strategy, we helped this client grow online visibility as it doubled its retail footprint via new store locations in Oregon and Washington. 

In addition to helping support City Home's retail business, our consulting led to the establishment of an ecommerce program, allowing digital marketing efforts to point the audience back to the client's website, where they could make a purchase without having to leave their device. Over the years, our analytics reports showed significant opportunity in this area. However, we knew we'd need to take shipping costs into account in our plans, given that ecommerce giants like Amazon had established an expectation around free shipping for online shoppers. Given that much of this client's product catalog consists of large furniture items, our approach to free shipping had to be cautious, balancing the client's needs with customer desires.

We opted to create a Free Shipping Collection populated with smaller, easy-to-ship items. This strategy allowed the client to avoid cost issues related to free shipping for massive items like sectional sofas, while also giving customers from across the country the opportunity to make a purchase when they saw something they liked on City Home's popular Instagram account.
